Hayden started out his life with a family who didn’t know much about dogs. They didn’t like his barking, so they wrapped wire around his muzzle. Then he did something they really didn’t like, so they kicked him out of their home. But life began looking up soon enough for Hayden.

Last Minute Request to Rent “Shelter Me” at Redbox

Have you seen the new PBS show called “Shelter Me” yet? It’s being promoted as an “inspiring series that celebrates shelter pets with positive and uplifting stories.”

The real news here is that if you rent a copy of episode 1 from Redbox before Monday night, they will donate the money to Ellen DeGeneres’ Halo Pet Foundation, which will help many shelter pets.

Congratulations, Huckleberry – 2013 Most Beautiful Bulldog

Have you heard of the Drake Relays, held each spring at Drake University in Des Moines, IA? Every year, before the start of the track meet, the school holds a “Beautiful Bulldog” contest – now in its 34th year. The contest is held in honor of the school’s mascot, a Bulldog.
