Thanks to friend-of-the-blog Rob Worrall for sending this to me. I’m embarrassed to admit I missed this – Cleveland’s practically in my back yard!
When this puppy was dropped off at the Cleveland Animal Protective League, they had to find someone to nurse it back to health, and lacking any suitable dog mamas, they turned to Lurlene the cat!

Training a new pup can be tough, especially if it’s an entirely new breed to you. I’ve had a canine companion in the house literally my whole life, and if there is one thing I have found about training new pups, it’s that they learn better with an example to follow.
Meet Penelope! I picked her over all the other dogs at the Blue Ridge Humane Society, because really, what better name is there for a dog than Penelope?
