What a great story from WQAD! Four years ago, a little Yorkie named Sam escaped from his yard in Louisiana. Cut to present day, 1,000 miles away in Iowa.
A Cedar Rapids animal shelter scans the now scrawny pup, and finds a microchip. They immediately called the family, then nursed the dog back to health.
The good folks at United Airlines heard about Sam and provided him a free seat in first class for the flight home.
Kudos to United, and congratulations to Sam and his family on their reunification.
