Don’t forget! The 2015 National Dog Show, brought to you by Purina ProPlan, will be telecast on Thanksgiving Day, just after the Macy’s parade on NBC.

Seven new breeds will make their debut at this 14th annual show:
Bergamasco
Spanish Water Dog
Miniature American Shepherd
Lagotto Romagnolo
Berger Picard
Cirneco dell’Etna
Boerboel

Just a word about the show’s name. I’ve never figured out why they call it the National Dog Show. It is no more or less national than any other big show. It is actually the Kennel Club of Philadelphia’s annual show, which was held on November 14th and 15th. They’re really good at keeping the results hush-hush until the telecast, so there’s no telling who took home any of the prizes until tomorrow.

If you’re going to be too busy in the kitchen, be sure to set your DVR for noon on NBC. For more information about the show, Purina is offering a downloadable “watch-at-home guide”.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We’re thankful for all of our readers and their dogs.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
