Happy Ending for Lost Yorkie

When Libby the Yorkie got loose last week, no one knew the strange twists her story would take before she was finally reunited with her family.

ABC13 out of Houston reports the little darling was picked up by a staff member from Stafford Oaks vet clinic when she was seen wandering the area.

Somehow, a different vet clinic employee took Libby and gave her to a friend, who subsequently took the dog home to Baytown.

Through the magic of television, the dog was featured on a news program on KTRK and the original family recognized her, enabling the reunification.

For its part in the mix-up, the Stafford Oaks vet clinic donated a microchip to prevent such confusion if Libby ever wanders again.

Chip your pets, people! It’s typically not very expensive and can save you a world of heartbreak. If your dog already has a microchip, please make sure your registry data is up-to-date, including address, phone number, and medical conditions (if applicable).

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
