pancrititis
My dog has had a couple of bouts of pancrititis, including one that was almost fatal. He is on the low fat EN dog food that I get from the vet, yet he still is presenting with high levels when usuing the PLI test. He is scheduled to have an ultrasound done with a board certified Internist this coming week. He has been a patient of hers before. My vet wants her to evaluate him again. There is a possiblity that he may have to under go exploratory surgery and to have bx taken during this surgery. I don't mind the exspense....my concern is what are the complcations from this surgery? And if right now, he is acting fine and eating well, why the elavated PLI levels s***esting chronic pancrititis? Can anyone give me advice prior to seeing the internist or what questions other then the ones that I can think of that I may ask the internist. My dog is my little boy. He is 10 years old and he is a cockapoo. I love him very much.
