as bought a white lab a couple of months ago.....now it seems that she is snorting or hacking or something...cant understand...she doesnt do it when she is laying down or eating ...she just does it when he is walking around....can't tell whether its a grunt or what...i told my vet. about it and she said not to worry....that a puppy will do that....has anyone had that problem before....

My dachshund makes this dry, horn-like sounding noise while her back legs sort of collapse. It only lasts about 15 seconds - sounds horrible. Almost like she can't catch her breath - asthma sound maybe? She has done this since she was a puppy. She is 7 years old. The vet seems to think that it is allergies. It can happen anytime but only when she is walking around too. We do know that dust can bring it on. Other than that, we don't know of any other triggers. She is fine after the incidents.
