Getting Ready for the Marmaduke Movie Release

As I’ve said before, my mom’s cousin-in-law is Brad Anderson, the cartoonist behind Marmaduke, which means any mention of the dog’s name usually catches my eye.  Well, we’re finally getting close to the much-anticipated release of the movie Marmaduke.

According to the news from Entertainment Tonight, Marmaduke will be released to theaters on June 4th.  The link included here also includes a video – be sure to check it out.

Owen Wilson will give Marmaduke a voice, while George Lopez speaks through the family’s pet cat.  Other stars participating in the project include Kiefer Sutherland, Judy Greer, William H. Macy, and Fergie from the group Black Eyed Peas.

According to Lee Pace (who place Phil Winslow), “It’s like a John Hughes movie, except the teenagers are all dogs, and that’s funny!”

I can’t wait!

(BTW, pictured above is the cover of a 50-year retrospective of the Marmaduke strip, which is available at Amazon.)

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!
