This is the view from my dining room into my kitchen. Any guesses as to what’s going on behind the baby gate?
Hint: See the roaster pan sitting in front of the oven, ready to go back to the basement?
We cooked an awesome turkey over the weekend, and my roommate was carving up the leftovers for turkey chili later in the week.
I got such a kick out of the way the dogs were sitting so still, watching every move – had to share it with you.

Looks so familiar. I have two labs and a miniature dachshund that do the same.
Judy – My dogs (as well as others I know) have never figured out that they could even think about jumping a baby gate. I think it could be just 2-feet tall, and they would still stay behind it. If your dog is smart enough to have already gone over one, I’m afraid I don’t have a solution. Sorry! Maybe some of the readers will. Thanks for writing.
I have looked. Do you know of a ‘baby’ gate that a big! 11th month German Shepard cannot jump, squeeze under, or just walk through?
