At the dog shelter in Sulphur, OK, it is sadly true that dogs are sometimes euthanized due to lack of space or health issues. On Saturday, five young dogs were put down, their deaths confirmed before the bodies were taken to the trash bin.
However, when one of the shelter workers looked into the bin the next day, lo and behold, one of the puppies was alive! He is currently being cared for by veterinarian Amanda Kloski, who has put an ad for him on PetFinder.
The have already received hundreds of offers to take in the puppy, named Wall-E after the Disney Pixar character. What a cutie!

Everyone is down on them throwing the dead bodies in the trash bin…..how about the fact that these poor animals have already thrown away by society. Pet owners who are not resposible for spay /neutering their animals or letting them run at will are the ones who create this problem.
Isnt it sad that they could not find a home for these 5 puppies but now that the press have covered this their are hundreds of people have stepped forward to adopt…so actually all 5 puppies should have found homes….
Do these people really want the puppy and will give it a forever home or are they just reacting to a knee-jerk heart rendering story. How long the puppy will be with them will tell their sincerity.
WAKE UP People this story is repeated all over the country every day…and needs to be changed big time…..by vets who will lower the cost of spay/neutering and shots so that the average family can reasonably afford the total care their pet needs….And everyone who has a pet becoming more responsible.
This made me really sick to my stomach.
