So, by now we all know that NONE of my picks made it to Best in Show, and only two made it to the Group competitions. But that’s not really the point of the whole event. To me, the highlights of the show were the ones that weren’t televised.
As judged by Ms. Cindy Vogels, the 2012 winner of Best in Show at Westminster is…

From the Hound Group: Wire-haired Dachshund Cinders
From the Toy Group: Pekingese Malachy
From the Non-sporting Group: Dalmatian Ian
From the Herding Group: German Shepherd Dog Cappy
From the Sporting Group: Irish Setter Emily
From the Working Group: Doberman Fifi
From the Terrier Group: Kerry Blue Terrier Chelsey
My pick: I think I’ll have to go with the Dobie. The next most likely, in my opinion, is the Peke.

“Wizard of Odds” Johnny Avello has updated his odds chart for your entertainment while viewing the show tonight. This new chart has the Pekingese in the lead at 6 – 1 odds, followed by the Black Cocker at 7 – 1, and the Wire Fox Terrier at 8 – 1.
See if he does any better than I did at picking winners, tonight on USA Network from 8 – 11 pm.
