I can not think of anything that would prevent the VA from paying for dogs of these mentally ill soldiers. Both of my parents were veterans. I have been involved in their struggle for many many years. I have seen veterans on the street with no where to go except their dog gave them comfort and companionship! I know that if a patient is ill, where does on put the dog? Well, the government could have animal shelters for these dogs belonging to veterans. If society can not love them, then we should allow the dogs to and care for them as well!
