New Dog Tags

If you read this blog regularly, you know I swear by my tags from DogTagArt. I’ve used them for years and am impressed with their durability. However, recently, I’ve had a problem with my OTHER tags (rabies, county registration) rubbing off on the DogTagArt tags, kind of obliterating the information on them. In looking for solutions, I came across some other innovative tags I thought some of you might be interested in.

My Pet DMV

MyPetDMV offers dog tags that look like a drivers license. In the blank space on the left, you upload a picture of your dog, which is nice. Available for all 50 states. My favorite part is the “restrictions” – you have several to choose from. Also the fact that it has the TSA-compliant star at the top!

If the jingle of collar tags makes you crazy, Zorah’s Pet Store offers collars with the dog’s information engraved on a metal clasp. I thought this one was pretty, but they have lots to choose from.

Taglec

Last, but not least – and this one may solve my problem – you can get hollow-carved dog tags from Taglec.

So, many options to choose from! But the important part is to make sure your dog wears a tag. Microchips are nice, but if your dog goes missing after business hours, you may have to wait until the next business day so the finder can get the chip scanned before you get him or her back. If you have legible tags, the person who finds your dog can call you immediately to put your mind at rest.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
