I just got back from the BlogPaws 2010 Conference in beautiful Columbus, Ohio. It was the first ever meeting of people who blog about pets. They expected 50 people and got over 250 participants! I had a great time, and it was wonderful to meet some of my readers and fellow bloggers. With the help of this group, hopefully I will become a better source of information for all of you. I even learned how to set up contests and sweepstakes, so you may see some of those coming soon!
Finally got around to downloading the still photos from my camera from last month’s Pet Expo in Columbus.
I wish I would have caught the whole event, but I did catch the tail end of today’s Purina Incredible Dog Challenge.

You asked – we delivered. More pictures of my niece’s Yorkie-Schon litter (designer cross between a Yorkie and a Bischon Frise). You can really start to see the Bichon in them now that they are getting a little older (6 weeks as of tomorrow). And, if you don’t mind my saying so, isn’t Allison quite the creative photographer?
I posted several months ago about the movie being made with Richard Gere about the story of Hachi, but I never saw it come out in theaters. Maybe it premiered to less-than-favorable crowds and wasn’t shown in my area, but I saw a commercial last night stating that the DVD and Blue-Ray disc are now available.
I received the following press release regarding the death of Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan’s pit bull Daddy.
We just finished re-watching “The Incredible Journey” on Hallmark Channel. If you’ve never had the pleasure, or have forgotten about the movie, as I had, it is one old chestnut worth renting.
Today’s best in group winners:
We posted last week about Holly, a Dogue de Bordeaux who was to be shown at Westminster, even though she was suffering from a relapse of her lymphoma. We are sad to report that Holly passed away one week before the show. Our deepest condolences to the Saez family on the loss of this beautiful dog.
As promised, here are the results of today’s Best in Group judging. For more details and for winners of each breed, see the Westminster Kennel Club’s web site.
