Removing Dog Hair from Upholstery

fur-fighterI saw this commercial on the Westminster Dog Show, and it looks like a really neat way to remove dog hair from furniture.  Has anyone tried it?  There were two different brands shown, but I only caught the name of one of them – the Fur Fighter from Scotch Brands.

Here’s what the manufacturer says about it:

You love your pets, but not the hair they leave behind.  Wouldn’t you like a simple, effective way to keep your furniture free from pet hair?

Shake paws with the Scotch™ FurFighter™ Hair Remover – a breakthrough solution in the never-ending battle against pet hair.

The Scotch™ FurFighter™ sheets use Microtrap™ Grippers, thousands of soft rubber fingers, specially designed to grip and trap pet hair embedded in your upholstery.

  • Remove embedded pet hair that vacuum cleaners leave behind
  • Pick up over 3 times more pet hair than a lint roller
  • Toss dander that may cause allergic reactions

No more fetching the vacuum.  The Scotch™ Fur Fighter™ Hair Remover is so fast & easy, it just may become your second best friend!

Scotch™ Fur Fighter™ Refill Sheets are available.

Made in the USA

Intended for use on upholstery.  Do not use on delicate fabrics.  Test first on all fabrics in an inconspicuous area to ensure no fabric damage prior to use.  Not recommended for use on non-fabric surfaces.

I also love their tag line:  “Take the Fur out of Furniture”

Has anyone tried this yet?  (Or a competitor brand?)  How do they work?  Would you recommend them?  What about cost?

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!

  1. Believe it or not, a pet brush, cat or dog, removes hair from upholstery beautifully. It doesn’t cost much either.
I use one all the time.
