If people outside of northeastern Ohio have heard of Massillon at all, it’s usually because of their high school football team, the Massillon Tigers. Turns out this town that is just down the road from me is also notable for something else: the only Dogo Argentino in the US certified as a police K-9.

Inca is pictured here in his new vest from a group called Vested Interest in K-9s. This group is located in Massachusetts and is a 501c(3) non-profit fundraising organization dedicated to providing bullet protective vests and other assistance to dogs of Law Enforcement and related agencies throughout the country. Each bullet/stab protective vest has a 5 year warranty, is manufactured in the United States and costs $950.00. Certified K9s employed in the United States at least 19 months of age are eligible to apply.

Congratulations to Inca on being such a stand-out among his breed and kudos to Vested Interest in K-9s for undertaking such a noble cause.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

  1. K9 Inca looks awesome in his new vest! What a great organization to donate vests for K9s! Inca is also rockin’ a BLOCKY DOGS collar which is also manufactured in the USA (in Ohio). We’re proud to have outfitted such a unique K9. Stay safe out there!
