Here in Ohio, the heat index is supposed to be over 100 degrees this weekend. Make sure you give your dog ample time inside with the air conditioner, but for the times when he or she has to be outside, here’s a fun idea to help your dog keep cool.
Ingredients:
32 oz. Tub of plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup natural (unsweetened) peanut butter
One banana
Extra peanut butter
Directions:
Put a dollop of peanut butter in each hole of an ice cube tray.
Blend the first three ingredients until smooth. Pour in ice cube trays, insert medium sized dog biscuits and freeze.
Makes about three dozen treats.
Another idea:
Put some favorite toys and treats into a small bucket. Fill the bucket with water and freeze. Your dog can lick his way to the treats and toys.
