Living right next to the main highway through town, my friend made quite a spectacle of herself whenever she mowed the lawn. The reason people were so interested was that she had a rather large shadow!
Her 90-pound lab mix, Giles, followed her wherever she went, including up and down the rows with the lawnmower. People would actually pull over on the highway to watch her mow because it looked so funny to see Giles marching along behind her!
Now that Giles is a grown-up, he has learned to take it easy. He still comes outside when she is mowing, but he lays in the shade and watches. Wonder if he’d like some lemonade!
