Saturday Survey: Taking Your Dog to Public Events

As I’ve said in my past 2 posts, I am working this week at a public festival centered around the induction of new Professional Football Hall of Fame enshrinees.  It got me to wondering about people taking their dogs to outdoor festivals and events.  What’s your stand?

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!

  1. SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER DOGGIE LOVERS———-

Socialize with other doggies lovers and have your doggie(s) play with other doggies and make friends.

Variety of events, such as, meetup in a park, wine and cheese party, Yappy Hour, DoggieQ-BBQ, American Red Cross Emergency for Pets, Fundraisers for Rescues and Shelters, Beverly Hills–strolling around with our babies, just to name a few activities.

DON MISS OUT ON THE FUN WITH YOUR DOGGIES. TALKING WITH OTHER DOG LOVERS AND HELPING THE FORGOTTEN DOGS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. As long as the venue allows dogs, I take all three dogs to events and/or outdoor activities. When they were puppies, I socialized them as much as possible. I don’t think it’s healthy for a dog and humans to stay in four walls all day long. Unless, dog or human is sick. They need stimulation, exercise, see different sites, smell different smells.

My one Chihuahua. Her parents didn’t have time for her and she was 8lbs. and Dr. Kim said that she should weigh 4lbs., so I have her now.. She was already socialize by living at the beach and living with children.

Just think about it. Don’t you go nuts just staying in all day without any stimulation, and so on?

  3. Betsy and Norman’s favorite place to go is Lowe’s…sorry Home Depot, they love Lowe’s.

On one visit, to Lowe’s, a young girl, about 1st or 2nd grade, came and sat down next to Betsy and Norman and told them all about her dog that had recently died. It was very touching because they listened to every word while I quietly picked out a color of paint. As she left, her mother mouthed “thank you”.
