Tuesday Top Ten: Events at the Doggie Olympics

OlympicsIn honor of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, we present our list of the top ten events we think should be included if anyone decides to organize doggie olympics.

10.  Drooling:  longest continuous walrus string.  Look for St Bernards to lead the pack.

9.  Counter-surfing:  most food snitched in a 30-second period.  Great Danes will be strong here.

8.  Tail dusting:  fastest cleaning of the coffee table.  Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters look good for this one.

7.  Floor cleaning:  best imitation of a dust mop.  Yorkies are most likely to medal in this event.

6.  Bed hogging:  taking up the most square footage on a bed.  Small dogs need not apply.

5.  Cat chasing:  winner comes closest to catching the cat before he disappears under furniture.  Greyhounds are likely winners here.

4.  Couch potato:  longest time in the same position on the couch.  Bassett Hounds, otherwise known as door stops, may be the best in this event.

3.  Toilet cleaning:  who will empty the bowl the fastest?  Mutts are the clear choice for winning this event.

2.  Tail chasing:  who can catch their tail the fastest?  I look for someone from the terrier group to take the title here.

1.  Bad breath:  which dog has the worst doggie breath?  I am NOT volunteering to judge this one!

What events would you include?

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!
