WHAT:
AKC Fastest Dogs USA on ESPN will decide the fastest canines in the country. Dogs of all breeds participate year-long in AKC Fast Coursing Ability Tests (Fast CAT) – the 100-yard dash for dogs. Based on these rankings, the speediest dogs in the country have been invited to participate in the inaugural event in Orlando, FL, held in conjunction with the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin.
The AKC Fastest Dogs USA, proudly presented by Tractor Supply Co., will cover the third and final round of the AKC Fast CAT Invitational. Two dogs will be crowned after the final round: The Fastest Dog USA and Speed of the Breed Champion. Fastest Dog USA will be the outright fastest dog according to miles per hour, while Speed of the Breed will be determined by the percentage of speed run over the average speed for that breed.
