Shelter Sunday: NOLA Lab Rescue / Destrehan, LA

Meet Sundance!  She is currently living in a foster home with NOLA Lab Rescue in Destreham, LA.  Here’s what their website has to say about this cutie.

Sundance is a 7 month old yellow lab. She was pulled from a high kill shelter, where she was turned in as a stray, after being hit by a car. Although the shelter vet said she was simply bumped by the car, once our vet looked at the xray it was obvious she needed FHO surgery asap. Her hip bone was fractured. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Sundance was able to have her surgery and is now recovering in her foster home in New Orleans. She is spayed and UTD on all vacs. She is a loving, sweet, obedient girl. She is completley house and crate trained and has had some leash training, but not much due to her injury. She loves all people, kids, and other dogs. She is a lover who wants nothing more than to sit by your side and give kisses. Loves to retrieve and knows drop and sit. She will probably love water when she can be introduced to it. Sundance is a great, sweet girl who just needs a loving home to be a part of. All dogs are adopted out up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines. All dogs are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this great dog, please email [email protected] to request an adoption application, complete (save it for your reference) and send to [email protected] PLEASE NOTE: We do not have a shelter where you can view our available dogs. All of our dogs live with foster families in private homes. You must complete an application and references will be checked by a volunteer before you can meet the dog. Please visit our website: www.nolalabrescue.org to learn more about our adoption procedures.

If you’re not near Louisiana, check out PetFinder’s Shelter Center to locate adoption facilities near you.

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!
