Shelter Sunday: Hope for Hannah Rescue / Bartonsville, PA

Meet Callie! This beautiful black lab is being fostered in Bartonsville, Pennsylvania by Hope for Hannah Rescue. Here’s what their website has to say about her.

Callie is beautiful one year old black lab. She is a very sweet dog but also very high energy so she would do well in an active home … she loves to walk, run, hike and would be an excellent agility dog. Because of her size and enthusiasm we prefer not to place her in a home with small children or small dogs. She is very loving and will make someone a very devoted and loyal companion. Callie has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations. She has had obedience training and knows all basic commands.

If you’re going to be in Eastern Pennsylvania (north of Allentown), why not contact Hope for Hannah Rescue and ask to meet Callie and all of her friends. Drop a note to [email protected] , call 570.213.9083, or fill out an online application.

If you’re somewhere else, check out PetFinder’s Shelter Center to find adoptable dogs near you.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

  1. I am trying to help a friend find a placement for his 2 yr old Rottweiller. My friend has become sick with a chronic illness and can no longer care for this dog.
As far as I know the dog is up to date on all shots, but has not been neutered. He is not agressive. My friend has not been well and this dog will require quite a bit of training but he is a sweet dog.
The dog has not had proper exercise and is quite excitable but I expect he would calm down very nicely with exercise and neutering. Debbie Fogel (570)241-9856
