Abused, Abandoned Pup Rescued in Sub-Zero Weather

From CBS in Minnesota:

What do you do when you”re a 4-month old Pit Bull abandoned on the streets of Minneapolis when it’s well below zero outside? You hope and pray someone comes along and finds you, that’s what.

Officer Jacob Young of Minneapolis Animal Care and Control found the extremely skinny dog, covered in cigar burns and with an infection covering the side of his face. Its doubtful the puppy would have survived much longer, and it’s clear his injuries came from abuse. “It absolutely is hard to see,” Young said. “But he’s still a just a very loveable, playful pup.”

The staff at the shelter have named the dog Jarvis. He remains in critical, but stable, condition. Although he is still struggling with regaining enough muscle control to walk well, Jarvis is expected to go to a rescue group very soon, where he will be placed in foster care.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
