This was taken during yesterday’s thunderstorm, but she will probably look just like this during tonight’s fireworks. Keep in mind more pets go missing on July 4th than on any other day.
Leave your pet at home if you’re going out and leave a TV or radio running to help block out the noise. If possible, lock them in a small room at the center of your house, away from windows.

I am a member of several pet-focused groups on Facebook, and I’ve been amazed at the number of people who post they don’t have air conditioning and are worried about their pets in the heat. I know I’ve been blessed, and I don’t think I could survive without my A/C when it’s as hot as it has been lately (over 90-degrees for about 10 days, here in Ohio).
