Pet Store Review: Chewy.com

Abundant Dog Treats

Have you tried out Chewy.com yet? I’ve used it twice now, and am thrilled with the price, the quality, and the service.

I checked their prices on a couple of miscellaneous animal products and three different food items, including the Hills Science Diet I feed to my dog. In all three cases the Chewy price was significantly lower than both the pet store and the big box discount store.

If you spend more than $49, shipping is free. For my herd, that’s about 6 – 8 weeks’ worth of food. They also have toys, food storage bins, crates, beds, training aids, grooming products, vitamins, bones, treats, and anything else you might want. Believe me, it’s not hard to get up to $49, even at their low prices. If you don’t spend that much, they offer flat-rate shipping of $4.95.

The food is the real name-brand product you might buy anywhere else, so the quality is the same as you’re getting wherever you shop now. I’ve not had any problems with dented cans, ripped food bags, or anything like that. If, by some chance, you aren’t happy with what you receive, you can send it back for a full refund, including the return shipping.

I’ve never waited more than 48 hours for an order to be delivered, and they offer an auto-ship option, so you don’t even have to think about it. You tell them to ship your order every 4 weeks or 6 weeks or whatever you want, and the order just shows up on your doorstep.

I love not having to lug heavy bags of dog food through the store, to the car, and then into the house. It’s a much shorter trip from the front porch to the pantry, so it’s really convenient for me.

I hope you’ll try it. Let me know what you think!

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
