Another Overflowing Shelter

I shared several days ago two shelters who were overflowing due to specific situations of hoarding. Now WFAA reports the Ft. Worth shelter is bulging at the seams, but it’s due to too many people voluntarily surrendering their animals because they can’t keep them anymore. So many people, they actually had a line, processing as many as 99 new intakes a day at one point.

If you’re in or near Texas, please consider driving to Ft. Worth to find your next friend. If you’re not there, maybe you can donate. Or at the very least, encourage your friends to do their research before getting a dog. The number one reason for owner surrenders is because people don’t know what they’re getting into. Either they are not ready to deal with puppy behaviors, or they get a breed that doesn’t fit their lifestyle. Sad for the dog, either way.

Please help if you can!

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
