Good News / Bad News

I thought this was just going to be a “good news” column, but then I got the e-mail news alert about the box of puppies.  The video above was included with the alert from NewsNet5 in Cleveland.

Good news first.

The Humane Society of Greater Akron announced yesterday that December was a record-breaking month for them, with over 130 pets going to forever homes.  They recently moved into a new shelter, and are hoping this is a preview of good things to come!

I was pretty excited about that, but like I said, then I got the news alert.  In nearby Bedford Heights (a suburb of Cleveland), a box of puppies was found in a dumpster, taped closed with electrical tape.  This was after six other puppies had been found under the dumpster last weekend.

The eight-week old puppies are doing well, and are in the custody of All Dogs Heaven, waiting to be spayed & neutered before finding forever homes.

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!
