From the Facebook Page of Operation Military Resources:Today we honor the life and military service of MWD TEDD Aries R568, a 14-year-old Golden Retriever who served 4 tours in Afghanistan and saved countless lives as an Army bomb dog. Thankfully, his first handler Billy was able to adopt Aries in February 2014 when he found out about the mass adoptions.
Billy gave Aries a wonderful and loving retirement, and we are truly grateful that these two battle buddies and Billy’s family had the time together to create many memories.
Godspeed MWD Aries. You showed your family pure unconditional love and devotion. You were such a good boy, and a hero as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with Billy, his family, and all who loved and were loved by MWD Aries.
Thank you for your service and may you Rest In Peace. Blessings to the family for sharing these photos of this amazing service dog. My heart bleeds for you and your family. Prayers sent, it’s always hard to lose a loved one.
To which we can only add, Rest in Peace Aries. You were a VERY good dog.
