Shelter Bowl IV

shelter bowlIn honor of the big game this week, GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank is celebrating our fourth annual Shelter Bowl.

Help us meet our goal of $20,000 to provide nutritious pet food to shelter animals all across the United States.

Food is one of the most vital needs for animal shelters and rescues. It’s also the largest expense for many of these organizations, but more money spent on food means less funding for other life-saving programs for the animals in their care.

GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank helps fill the gap, ensuring that animals waiting for their forever homes always have a full belly. That’s why we created the Shelter Bowl. We need your help to meet our goal of $20,000 to feed animals in need. Every dollar you donate goes directly to our programs to feed shelter animals, allowing shelters to put their limited budgets into other adoption programs and save more lives. Again this year, each donation made between January 28th and February 3rd will be matched by Purina® with an additional $1 worth of healthy, nutritious food—dollar for dollar, up to $20,000!

You can help. According to the National Retail Federation, football viewers this Sunday will spend an estimated $81 per person on food, beverages and other items. If that amount were donated to the Shelter Bowl, it would deliver 1,620 meals to shelter pets in need! Make a donation today!

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
