Shelter Sunday: Hawaii Dog Foundation / Waipahu, HI

Max HIMeet Max! This handsome border collie mix is living in Waipahu, Hawaii with Hawaii Dog Foundation. Here’s what their website has to say about him.

This happy senior citizen is named Max! Max is a 15 year old border collie mix. He weighs about 65 pounds, has been neutered and micro-chipped, and is current on his vaccinations. Aside from a little arthritis, he is in good health. Max is a low-energy dog and is happy to lie around the house. He enjoys short play-dates with other dogs and he will chase a tennis ball from time to time, but he’s at the stage in his life where he likes to take it easy! Short, leisurely walks are ok, but he would probably prefer to take the car! Max likes kids and he gets along well with other dogs but he doesn’t care for cats. Max is still enjoying life and he needs a family to love him for a few more years.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Hawaii, why not contact Hawaii Dog Foundation and ask to meet Max and all of his friends. Fill out an online application, send an e-mail to [email protected] or call (808) 256-6927. You can also check out their Facebook page.
