One of my earlier posts (stuck in between all the info on the Iditarod race) was about Dogs on Deployment, an organization that seeks to match foster homes with those in the military who need a place to keep their dog while on deployment.
And, of course, we talk all the time about rescue dogs who often spend time in foster homes before finding a forever family. As a human foster parent, I know what hard work it is to take new lives into your home, love them to pieces, then send them on their way. Would you ever consider being a foster home for dogs?
