Shelter Sunday: Project Rescue Chicago

Meet Icy! Icy is a 10-year old male American Eskimo currently being cared for by Project Rescue Chicago.  Here’s his story.

Hi, my name is Icy and I am a loving and affectionate male American Eskimo. I am approximately 10 years old but have the energy of a dog half my age. I am up for adoption because, although I am very sweet and goofy, I get very nervous and jumpy around young children. The ideal environment for me is relatively calm and without young children or other dogs. For me it is very important that I be included as a part of the family. In return, I offer plenty of hugs and kisses, and will gladly snuggle with you or lie at your feet.

I love to sleep in late and relax around the house, but my two favorite activities are going for walks and playing soccer and fetch. I am really good in the car and would really love a fenced-in back yard to run around and hang out in. I am wary of strangers and will bark at them for a couple of minutes, but will thereafter warm up to them and let them pet me and play with me.

I am fully up-to-date with all my vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered. I also know basic obedience commands.

To meet and possibly adopt Icy please complete an application.

If you’re going to be near Chicago, please make an appointment to see Icy and his friends by calling 312-623-0939 or by e-mailing Bridgid AT ProjectRescueChicago DOT org.

If you’re not near the Windy City, check out Pet Finder’s Shelter Center to find dogs near you that are waiting for forever homes.

Until next time,

Good day, and good dog!
