This sounds healthier than regular ice cream, but nearly as much fun as taking your dog to the ice cream stand. Maybe when social distancing is no longer recommended, we can get back to our neighborhood treasures. Or maybe I can train my dogs to go up to the window with a note and bring my ice cream back to the car? They’d never make it without scarfing down the whole cone.
Photo by PhilleyLook who I met today! Claudia, a beautiful Rottweiler, agreed with me that a January day with temperatures in the 50s was reason enough to get some ice cream at Handel’s in Perry Township.
This just cracked me up. No, these dogs aren’t MY Daisy and Cooper, but they could just as well be. Although my Cooper would not have let Daisy get so many licks in.
I’m spending the week with my mother, and we went for ice cream tonight. Naturally, I managed to make some new friends out in front of the United Dairy Farmers store. Molly was a little shy and wouldn’t come to the window, but Jasmine was ready & willing to have her photo taken! Isn’t she beautiful?
It’s ice cream stand time again. We met this sweet Border Collie / Cur mix named Rufus tonight when we stopped to get our “fix.”
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Isn’t he cute? He’s a poodle / terrier mix. Just 10 weeks old, he lives with an Hispanic family, and she gave me the dog’s name in Spanish, which I won’t attempt to spell, but it translates as “Little Lamb”. The perfect name for this little sweetie!
Hi! My name is Twister. I’m a rescue from the humane society. Aren’t I gorgeous? I met the Dog Lady at the ice cream stand tonight, and she asked me what I like best about summertime. Here’s my list.
