Florida voted to ban greyhound racing, so in about a year there will be around 8,000 greys coming off the tracks and 7,000 racers-in-training that all need to find new homes. Ugh.

Unless you are a professional breeder, there is no reason to have an unaltered pet in your home. If money is an issue, look for low-cost clinics which are offered fairly regularly in most areas. Vets are committed to getting every pet spayed or neutered, and many volunteer their time or offer reduced rates to encourage people to get it done.
