Spay Neuter Reminder
Pet overpopulation is real! If you’re not a breeder, there’s no reason to have an intact dog, and in fact, it is healthier for the dog to be spayed or neutered. If you can’t afford it, watch online forums for free or low cost clinics in your area, or ask at your local shelter where you can have it done.

From The Dog Lady’s mailbag: The American Kennel Club and UpDog are pleased to announce that it will recognize the accomplishments of dogs in UpDog Challenge disc dog events with an AKC Disc Dog title. UpDog Challenge (UpDog), an independent governing body for the sport of disc dog, has taken the basic game of fetch with a flying disc and expanded it into a number of creative, fun games. Shelter Sunday: Cleveland APL
From our friends at 19News in Cleveland: The Cleveland Animal Protective League is bursting at the seams after taking in animals from four different hoarding situations over the past month. They have taken in 89 cats and 90 dogs, most recently a herd of Chihuahuas. They are lowering adoption fees and accepting donations. See adoptable dogs.

“Molly,” a seven-year-old Dalmatian owned by Dayna Hilton is more than just a family pet – she is a Fire Safety Dog, the mascot of the Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation (KKFSF). KKFSF is a public charity dedicated to reducing fire related deaths and injuries among children and their families.
