As a reminder, here are the seven dogs advancing to the Best in Show competition:
Non-Sporting Group: Venus, the Standard Poodle
Hound Group: Bourbon, the Whippet
Sporting Group: Orca, the Lagotta Romagnolo
Toy Group: Wasabi, the Pekingese
Herding Group: Sketty, the Australian Shepherd
Working Group: Wilma, the Boxer
Terrier Group: Dazzle, the Welsh Terrier
Sorry I’m late to the party today…I was watching my beloved Browns lose to the Chiefs. I think I have recovered enough to bring you the results of the Non-Sporting Group judging from today’s telecast of the AKC National Championships held last December.
Meet Annie! What a sweet-looking dog! Here’s what her rescuers have to say about her:
1/17/2021 This pretty girl is Annie! She is a 2 year old, 40 pound, Blue Heeler mix who LOVES her tennis balls. Particularly squeaky ones! Annie is so sweet but can be a little nervous upon meeting new people. She warms up as soon as she gets to know and trust them. Annie is current on her vaccinations, spayed, house trained and working to learn more obedience and leash skills. An ideal home for her would be one with a fenced in yard and a family who is willing to play ball with her and take her for walks. Because she is playful and energetic, Annie would do best with older children. She would also prefer to be your one-and-only pet companion.
Annie is currently a guest of 2nd Chance for Pets in Clinton, Illinois. If you’re lucky enough to be close by, why not contact the shelter to ask more about Annie and all of her friends. Call (217) 935-3488, send an email to [email protected] or fill out an application.
