UPDATE 09/20/19: I received a comment on this post, referencing a study on the danger of loperamide for Collies. I was unable to pull up the article to review it, but I will say this: our blog is never meant to replace advice from your veterinarian. It’s always a good idea to ask the vet before giving any medications to your dog because there may be breed-specific concerns or interactions with medications your dog is already taken.
