Saturday Survey: Where Do You Buy Dog Food?

If you’ve been a long time reader, you know I have toyed with making homemade dog food several times, but can never seem to find the time to stick with it for very long. I have the typical working parent guilt – I know it’s better for the dog if I make it myself, but I have a hard time juggling everything I “should” be doing. Earlier this week, I posted about how happy I am with Chewy.com, a budget conscious and convenient way to get high quality food for the dog even though it is commercially made. What about you?

Saturday Survey: This Week’s Election

As we highlighted in past posts, Secretary Clinton appears to be a dog lover, while Mr. Trump continues to compare people to dogs in a mostly derogatory way. Not that this would be the deciding factor in your vote, but who do you hope will win?

Saturday Survey: All Dogs, All the Time?

I showed you a picture of my new baby kittens this week (because they’re SO CUTE!), and it got me wondering. Do you think it’s appropriate to sometimes feature animals other than dogs on a doggies blog? I know many of you are animal lovers in general, so I try to introduce some things that are cute, but I don’t want to go too far afield if that’s not your interest.

Saturday Survey: Dogs in Hot Cars

rp_Saturday-Survey-Graphic-350x2331-350x233-350x233.jpg

I’ve seen several news articles this week about dogs dying in hot cars during the recent heat wave across the Midwest. The laws are changing in some states and now protect you as a Good Samaritan if get the dog out, even if you have to break the car’s windows. I have had only one experience where I found a dog locked in a car on a summer day, and I called the police because I wasn’t sure what I could do other than that. Have you ever had to make such a decision?
