Dog’s Micro-Chip Helps Family Identify Lost Son






Here’s a twist on why it’s a good idea to micro-chip your dog. In this video, the authorities used a dog’s micro-chip to identify a “John Doe” who had died of an overdose.

I was originally drawn to the video because the dog looks exactly like a huskier version of my Kayla. But in reviewing it, I think it has some relevance for all of us. Not that I’m wishing any of you or your relatives end up as John or Jane Does in a morgue, but I’d also hate for you to remain unidentified if you do end up there.

On Feb. 13, a dog, identified by only his given number, A441782, was taken to the San Bernardino, Calif., city animal control.

The dog was brought in by the local police as a stray, but he has an owner, and right now, the public’s assistance is needed to help identify that man, and to help get him back to the facility to claim his dog.
